Shadman Zafar has a Ph.D. in Economics from Aligarh Muslim University. His research interests include Agricultural Economics, Environmental Economics and Development Economics. He secured the University Medal and the Muzammil Towle Medal for securing Rank 1 in B.A. Economics (2015), and the University Medal and the Sitaram Jindal Foundation Medal for securing Rank 1 in M.A. Economics (2017); he was also a recipient of the UGC Postgraduate Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holders (2015-17).
