International Admissions

GITAM Directorate of International Affairs(GDIA)

GDIA is headed by a team of dedicated staff and supported by the advisory council. A group of faculty and administrators representing each of the University’s institutes plus other key academic units are functional under this office.

The office primarily serves as

  • The Office of International Partnerships and Agreements
  • The Office of International Student Admissions, which facilitates study abroad opportunities for students of GITAM as well as for incoming international students & faculty
  • The International Student Welfare Office both for outbound and inbound international students.

Admissions

GITAM Directorate of International Affairs(GDIA) handles all subject matters relating to admissions of International Students to the constituent institutes of GITAM at Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.

Categories listed under International Students Admissions are as follows

Foreign National (FN)

A student is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she holds a foreign passport.

Person of Indian Origin (PIO)

A student is eligible to apply as a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) if he/she has a PIO card and is a citizen of a country other than India.

Non Resident Indian (NRI)

A student is eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if he/she has appeared for either the 10th or 10+2 (equivalent to the Indian 10th (SSC) & 12th (HSC)) examination outside India.

NRI Sponsored Student(NRIs)

A student pursuing their qualifying examination in India. Citizens, whose either or both parents having NRI status.

International students are able to apply online and need only come to India when his/her application is shortlisted for the chosen programme. The application procedure consists of simple steps; it begins with a basic eligibility check of important documents to be submitted and concludes with the final payment confirming admission.
