The focus of all research activities at GITAM will be to enable all of our Research & Innovation strategic priorities. With a clear roadmap for milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics, there will also be strong frameworks to promote entrepreneurship and innovation which will be lead by well-trained, expert workforce and world-class partners.
To ensure that the research and innovation activities are well supported, GITAM enables Grants & Funding. We are affiliated with various apex bodies to promote inter-disciplinary and co-disciplinary research by coordinating with various funding agencies
Outcomes, Output And Impact
The research and innovation activities carried out at GITAM (Deemed to be University) focus on gaining new knowledge and insights in selected domains, and developing and fostering applications that can be incubated for successful commercialisation.
Centres of Excellence
Centre for Health & Wellness Innovation (CHWI)
“The CHWI will drive Research & Innovation in the broad area of Life Sciences, with a specific emphasis on Foods and Nutrition.
Centre for Autonomous Systems (CAS)
The CAS focuses on research that will help in designing and developing autonomous systems such as robotics, autonomous underwater, ground and aerial vehicles and more.
Centre for Biomedical Devices (CBD)
The CBD focuses on research and fabrication, medical licensing and production of medical devices.

Research Office at GITAM is making all-round efforts in promoting research activities in the University, by motivating the faculty in various disciplines providing them necessary guidance, required directions and creating a conducive environment for undertaking productive research in GITAM.
