With numerous student chapters, clubs, and cultural activities, GITAM encourages an equitable balance between academics and extra-curricular activities for all its students across campuses, which builds a strong network and community that goes on long after our students graduate from GITAM!
Student Culture
Student experiences and culture at GITAM are enriching and diverse. The three GITAM campuses are host to a number of intellectual, social, and cultural events, all year round that brings our students together to exchange ideas and perspectives.

To enable a multi-faceted experience that resonates with all our students and promotes their holistic growth, we offer a wide array of competitive, instructional and recreational communities and activities across the GITAM campuses.
Life Beyond the Classrooms
GITAM has numerous student-run societies and clubs, offering activities that run the gamut from student government to fundraising and volunteering. They offer students the chance to represent themselves, have their voices and views heard, try something new, and even get involved in projects beyond the GITAM campus.

GUSAC work on different socia-economic concerns to provide a legitimate and efficient solution and mainly focuses on bringing theoretical knowledge into practical existence by fabricating various projects.

To explore the field of aeronautics under mechanical Engineering.
Dance club, Kalakrithi
The purpose is to nurture a community of students from all majors interested in learning the art of dance, teach different forms of dance, and most importantly, have fun. With an encouraging and healthy environment where no one is judged, motto is "We Dance to Express'' & "Live freely, Dance Merrily."

The main objective of GQC is to conduct quizzes and collab with other clubs.

Club strives to promote a profound understanding and awareness of Korean culture and language through various activities and events.
Innovation Center
GITAM’s Innovation Center is a space for enthusiastic students to imagine, collaborate, create and bring their innovative ideas to life. It is a platform to give their creative minds a little more spark.
Disha
Disha was started by the student body, under the guidance of Dr. Joseph RatnaJaykar, Associate Professor in the Department of English and inaugurated in December 2017.
Kalakrithi Cultural Club
The Kalatrithi celebrates creative art in its most popular forms: music, dance and theatre. The popular student club is responsible for organising extra curricular activities on-campus, facilitiating GITAMites' give affinity for arts and culture.
Charaiveti
Charaiveti is Inspired by the upanishadic word that urges one to keep going onward or forward. The vision of Charaiveti is to awaken young people to the ideals of seva and use their power for national development.
Engineers Without Borders (EWB)
Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is a non-profit organisation that works for the development of society. The organisation works in collaboration with other institutions to fund and develop ideas that benefit people in low income and rural areas, and offers students real-world experience.
Perspective Art Team
The Perspective Art team promotes the appreciation and practice of the visual arts through drawing and painting. The club conducts a number of campuswide competitions that invite students to give rein to their creative and artistic sides.
GITAM (Deemed to be University) Science and Activity Centre (GUSAC)
The GITAM (Deemed to be University) Science and Activity Centre (GUSAC) was founded in 2011 with the goal of creating innovative solutions by applying classroom knowledge to real-life problems. The centre focuses on the different engineering streams, with workshops, field visits, interactive sessions, competitions and exhibitions.
Kalakrithi Cultural Club
Inaugurated in 2014, the Kalakrithi Cultural club encourages students to practice and excel in the performing arts of music, art, and dance.
Speaking Club
The Speaking Club promotes and develops literary knowledge and provides a space for students to practise their English language skills. The club’s activities include workshops on debates, group discussions, storytelling, presentations, quizzes and more.
