The Research & Innovation (R & I) Function at GITAM has been set up to organise and focus all the research and innovation activities across GITAM (Deemed to be University) into a cohesive and effective structure. The R&I Wing will encompass any and all research activities that contribute
a) new knowledge and insights in selected domains of science, and
b) develop and foster applications that can be incubated for successful commercialisation.
Running a vibrant continuum to manage these activities is the primary objective of R & I.
Structure Of The Continuum
The R&I Continuum will be comprised of three main components through which research activities will be carried out and accelerated to further our vision.
SPARC
Sponsored Academic Research & Consultancy (SPARC) will be carried out at Academic Institutes and Department levels with focused outcomes of Funded Research, Grants, Publications & Patents
GUARD
GITAM (Deemed to be University) Applied Research and Development (GUARD) will be carried out at Centres of Excellence with the focused outcomes of Patents and Products.
GUIDE
GITAM (Deemed to be University) Institute for Development of Entrepreneurship will be carried out at Venture Development Centers, Incubators & Accelerators with focused outcomes of Spinoffs, Startups and Ventures to solve business and societal problems.
