KondupartiMaalyadahas a Ph. D in Dance from Annamalai University, and M.A. degrees in Kuchipudi and in English, as well as a B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering and a PG Diploma in Comparative Mythology. Her research interests include Indian Dance, Indian Philosophy, Indian Mythology and Indology (Hindu Studies). She was awarded the CCRT Scholarship by the Government of India as well as a Senior Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and has awards from the Institute of Scholars, Sur SingarSamsad, Nalanda Dance & Research Centre, the Madras Telugu Academy, the Visakha Music & Dance Academy, Naveen Kalaakar, the Saraswati Gana Sabha and the Nritya Madhavi Performing Center. In addition, K. Maalyada is an ‘A' Graded Artist of Doordarshan Kendra, and was nominated as the Cultural and Goodwill Ambassador to the USA from India (2011) by The Rotary International. Her cinematic work has also won awards
