Mr. Raja Sekhar S. completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering and obtained Degree from JNTU Hyderabad, with a project work titled “ Causes and Preventions of Boiler tube Failures” worked for a real time case studies of VIZAG Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam. He studied Master of Engineering in University College of Engineering, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, with a dissertation submitted in the Area of Robotics and Robotic wrist mechanisms. He joined GITAM University, Visakhapatnam in the year 2010, later in 2012 deputed to GITAM Bengaluru campus, and took the responsibilities of Admissions at bengalurucampus , being in Assistant Director (Admissions) position for a span of two years. He is pursuing Ph.D course from Andhra University.
His interested areas of research are Machine Design, Robotics, Alternative Fuels and Tribology. Mr.Rajasekhar keeps himself updated in his field of Mechanical engineering by attending Seminars, conferences and Symposiums periodically. He published some papers in the reputed Journals of research. Machine design, Strength of Materials, Material Science and Metallurgy, Automobile Engineering, Engineering Drawing, Theory of Machines, Machine Drawing, Operations research, Operations Management, Advanced Optimization Techniques are some of the papers he dealt with, during his professional tenure. Raja sekhar also guides and supports students in various project works. His passion towards teaching profession always keeps him busy in conveying knowledge to students. He also holds a position of Chairman in SAE-GITAM Collegiate Club of Mechanical Engineering Department.
