The Medical Education Unit (MEU) of GIMSR is dedicated to enhancing the quality of medical teaching and learning. It provides training and support to faculty members through training sessions such as the Basic Course in Medical Education Technologies (BCME) and other in-house faculty development programs. The MEU plays a vital role in building the teaching and assessment competencies of faculty and also promotes research in the field of medical education.
The Curriculum Committee is responsible for the effective implementation and monitoring of the MBBS curriculum. It organizes programs like the Curriculum Implementation Support Program (CISP) and oversees academic scheduling, including the development of time tables. Phase-wise curriculum sub- committees function along with the Curriculum Committee to plan and coordinate the academic activities for each phase of the MBBS program.
