GITAM was established by Dr. M. V. V. S. Murthi. He was a former member of the Parliament and was also a well-known philanthropist.

GITAM is a private institution that was granted a Graded Autonomous position by the Ministry of Education. Ever since it was established, GITAM has been a private university that offers a wide range of subjects and courses.

You can apply for GITAM through offline or online methods. However, the mode of GAT is always online. Be sure to check out the online test instructions and the syllabus for your course before appearing for the exam.

You can only appear once for each course during every phase. When you use the registered email twice, GITAM considers it a duplicate application and prevents you from doing so. Hence, you can only appear for one exam for the given academic year. However, you can reappear for the GAT exams for the next academic year with no hassle. 

Yes! Every degree you earn from GITAM is UGC-approved and recognized. Thus, it is valid across several countries globally. Hence, you can use the degree earned from our institution to pursue job prospects and higher education in Canada. 

Absolutely! GITAM is a UGC-recognized university. All the courses that we offer are UGC recognized. Thus, every degree you get from our institution is valid for applying to any Government jobs.

Recognized by UGC-MHRD as Category-‘I’ Deemed to be University with A+ grade, GITAM has been granted Graded Autonomy. So, yes GITAM is indeed an autonomous university. 

Yes! The GITAM Admission Test, also known as GAT, is one of the most popular university entrance exam tests in India to ensure transparency in application and evaluation for the applicants. At GITAM, you can avail yourself of a range of scholarships for over 13 undergraduate, graduate and research programmes, based on your GAT percentile. Scholarships can either cover a part of your tuition fees or the entirety of the tuition fee if you qualify for the necessary criteria. All students must appear for the GAT (GITAM Admission Test) exam conducted every year for entrance. It is a computer-based exam that you can take up from multiple centers all across India.
