Pioneering Research Frontiers at GITAM
At GITAM (Deemed to be University), the Research & Innovation (R&I) function is strategically designed to streamline and enhance all research activities across the university.
This initiative is focused on generating new knowledge within selected scientific domains and developing innovations that can be transitioned into viable commercial applications.

Structure of the Research &
Innovation Continuum
The R&I activities at GITAM are organised into a dynamic continuum with three main components, each aimed at accelerating research and achieving the university's vision:

SPARC
(Sponsored Academic Research & Consultancy): Conducted at academic institutes and department levels, SPARC focuses on achieving tangible outcomes such as funded research, grants, publications, and patents.

GUARD
(GITAM University Applied Research and Development): Executed at Centres of Excellence, GUARD is dedicated to creating patents and developing products.

GUIDE
(GITAM Institute for Development of Entrepreneurship): Operating at Venture Development Centers, Incubators, and Accelerators, GUIDE aims to produce spinoffs, startups, and ventures that address business and societal challenges.
