Dr. Thirumal Gunasekaran completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad. His research focused on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), with an emphasis on building real-time systems for linear time-critical networks. His work aims to improve how industrial systems respond quickly and reliably in critical situations. He was awarded the Inder Mohan Thapar Research (IMTR) Award 2023 for Best Research at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
