Dr Rao is one of the few eminent Indian researchers specialized in Aluminium metallurgy. Several Undergraduate students under his mentorship have been embarking into World's top Universities like University of Cambridge (U.K.); University California Berkeley (USA); NUS & NTU (Singapore). Member of the Editorial Board of Nature-Scientific-Reports for Engineering. He has been serving as a subject expert for Czech Science Foundation and other international funding bodies since past 11 years.
