GITAM’s PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an advanced research-focused programme that provides scholars with a deep understanding of chemical sciences applied to drug discovery, design, and development. This programme enables candidates to explore cutting-edge topics in the synthesis, analysis, and optimisation of pharmaceutical compounds, contributing to groundbreaking innovations in the field.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the PhD level covers a wide range of non-dispensing aspects of pharmacy. Scholars will delve into specialised topics such as pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and biomedical analyses, gaining expertise in drug metabolism, delivery systems, and the creation of life-saving therapies.

The programme, based at our Hyderabad campus, also places a strong emphasis on research in quality control and assurance, preparing scholars to lead initiatives in maintaining the safety, efficacy, and uniformity of pharmaceutical formulations.

Ph.D Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Eligibility

The programme is open to applicants with a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree specialising in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry, or Pharm D.
