Venture Development Center (VDC) is a venture pre-incubator and the epicenter for all the startup action at GITAM. The centre is an abode for various entrepreneurship activities on campus with a dedicated team of venture coaches, trained & certified by Northeastern University, Boston, and a wholly student-run E-Club. Our startup coaches come from different industries with an average of 5+ years of industry experience. Some of our student venture teams have represented GITAM & India at various global startup events and won laurels & grants.
We set up VDC to build & foster a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem on all three campuses. The center helps student entrepreneurs to incubate their ideas and develop them into meaningful ventures by offering immense & thorough guidance & mentorship throughout their startup journey. It also tries to urge students to work towards their entrepreneurial skills. Various events like workshops, boot camps, ideation sessions, Prototyping & Design Thinking sessions, speaker series, and chai chats, among others, are conducted throughout the academic year to build a holistic & well-rounded entrepreneurial ecosystem.
VDC has a specialized team of venture coaches trained by Northeastern University, Boston, bringing years of industry experience to mentor aspiring entrepreneurs.
A wholly student-run Entrepreneurs Club (E-Club) operates under VDC, organizing various initiatives to promote entrepreneurship on campus.
Adopting Northeastern University's three-stage venture development process—Ready-Set-Go—VDC offers a structured approach to venture creation.
VDC provides one-to-one coaching, entrepreneurship courses integrated into the curriculum, access to a maker-space, seed funding opportunities, a venture mentor network, prototyping grants, workshops, idea pitching sessions, demo days, and community connect programs.
