Sridhar holds a doctoral degree from the University of Hyderabad and before joining GITAM, he has taught at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Tuljapur campus from 2013 to 2023. He was a Visiting Fellow in Contemporary History and Politics at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities, University of Edinburgh, UK. (2010) He conducted independent studies at XIMB, Bhubaneshwar; CSD and CESS, Hyderabad.
