Charu Agaruhas a Ph.D. from the University of Calicut. His research interests include Classical Theatre, Kutiyattam and the traditional art-forms of Kerala. He was awarded Achutha Kurup Endowment in 2007 by the Kerala Kalamandalam, the Special Jury Award in the 2018 Kalpataru Festival, and the India Star Independent Award in 2020. In 20 years in the field of arts, Charu Agaru has performed in the Theatre de sole, Paris as an Indian Delegate, in the Indian Social Club, Oman, at IFFK Dubai and other prestigious art festivals in India and abroad. He is an External Examiner in Kerala Kalamandalam.
