IMTELLO: It is a part of GITAM Centre for Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development (GCIED), a student club to motivate and coordinate the highly enthusiastic students those who wish to begin Start Up companies.
All the activities on Science and Engineering related to live projects and working models are encouraged under the umbrella of GITAM University Science Activity Centre (GUSAC), Bengaluru Campus. There are different clubs for each branch of engineering as Aryans, VITAC, Elite and Campus Robotics.
Aryans-Mechanical Engineering - conducts workshops, student seminars invites guests for interactive sessions. They also Initiated GITAM Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) manufactured Go Kart-a four wheeler which runs on petrol.
VITAC (Visweswaraya Innovative Technological Association of Civil Engineers) - Civil Engg. Club- Conducts workshops, field visits and interactive sessions and quizzes.
Elite-This is a club to promote the innovative ideas of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) students. They have made working models on various interdisciplinary topics in association with other branches of engineering. These students also have IETE chapter which is very active and frequently conducts workshops and interactive sessions.
Campus Robotics Club: This club is formed by Computer Science Engineering students. It conducts workshops on Robotics every evening for all the branches of engineering. They prepare working models to conduct and participate in science exhibitions.
Kalakrithi: Inaugurated in the year 2014 to encourage the students to perform and excel in the music, art and dance. Student performances are being refined with the support of the Choreographers on regular basis.
G-Media: Those students with a creative eye are given opportunity to form G-Media to showcase their talents in Photography. They often work with all the departments of Engineering and Management to capture the valuable moments during the auspicious events.
Speaking Club: Promotes and develops literary knowledge and provides a platform to practice English language skills. Many activities like debates, group discussions, presentations Just A Minute Activities, Quizzes, storytelling and picture perception are conducted daily by the students. Workshops on debate, group discussions, LSRW (Listening, Speaking Reading and Writing) skills are also part of the club activities. The club initiated a student Magazine called Ignite.
Ignite: It is a student magazine with combination of literature, science, art, technology and information articulated and interwoven scrupulously. It is a feast for an ardent reader. The first edition of Ignite was released during Prerana2K17. All the efforts are put forth to continue it for the years to come.
Perspective Art Team: A team of members those who are creative in nature formed a team to capture the eminent personalities in their drawings and paint the beautiful moments. The team conducts competitions like poster making, Rangoli competitions, making models and art forms.
Theatre Club: The students those who are talented in designing and film making have formed together the Theatre Club. They take the responsibility of designing of posters, banners and recording of all the events that occur in the campus. Different teams like SR creations, Dic Chick group and so on create short films.
Wisdomania: Activities maintained by Management students in the form of discussions on current affairs, interaction with CEOs, Student seminars and workshops on etiquettes and human behavioour.
Motto for NCC: "Unity and Discipline" as motto for the NCC was taken in the 12th CAC meeting held on 12 Oct 1980.
Core Values: The NCC is a responsive, learning and continuously evolving organization. Its activity is guided by certain core values that we strive to instill among all ranks of the NCC.
20-June-2018 to 29-June-2018: Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) was conducted at GITAM Bangalore campus. In the camp 600 cadet’s participated from 120 institutions of Karnataka. During camp training was given on physical fitness, firing and crossing obstacles. Various literary competitions like quiz, essay writing, group discussion, cultural and sports were also conducted during the camp. There were lectures and discussions on topics like national integration and environmental awareness, social service community development and human rights. Selection for group IGSC and teams for Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) were also happened.
27-June-2018: As part of the program 4th International yoga day was celebrated in GITAM Bangalore campus, NCC cadets and faculty of GITAM practiced yoga on this occasion. Lt. Staney James (Commanding Officer) has delivered a talk. Swach Bharath Abhiyan was conducted in Doddaballapur on the same day.
August-2018: 13 cadets participated in Scuba Diving Camp.
Dec-2018: Among 70 NCC Cadets enrolled in this academic year, two students attended various NCC camps. Bindu Madhavi from ECE II attended 7 NCC RDC selection camps and Mr. Manju.T from III year CSE attended 3 Tal Sainik selection camps during October to December.
Under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, National Service Scheme (NSS) was launched in Gandhiji's Birth Centenary Year 1969, in 37 Universities involving 40,000 students with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service. NSS Wing of the GITAM Bengaluru is functioning actively from the year academic year 2012.
