Ravi Shanker Datti is currently Assistant Professor at Department of Applied Psychology, GITAM School of Gandhian Studies. He previously headed the Department of Psychology at Adikavi Nannaya University for seven years. He had served as Capacity Building Officer for Global Fund project to the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He trained a number of health counsellors representing NGOs, APSACS and NACO. He holds a Doctorate in Health Psychology and M. Phil in Counselling Psychology from Andhra University. He developed an interest in empirical approaches to health psychology during his Ph. D and worked in the area of Yoga and Diabetes Management. Apart from teaching and research in Psychology he extends his services for organisational training and counselling. He has presented papers at premier institutes like IITs and published papers in both national and international journals. He is a member of American Psychological Association and received training for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Beck Institute, Philadelphia. Ravi Shanker had delivered a series of lectures at James Madison University, Virginia.Education
