Dr. Sabah Haider completed her Ph.D. in Psychology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. She is a licensed Rehabilitation Psychologist having done her M. Phil. in Rehabilitation Psychology from the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, Secunderabad. She was awarded the gold medal for standing first in M.A Psychology program at Osmania University as well as the gold medal for standing first in M. Phil. Rehabilitation Psychology program at NIEPID, Secunderabad. She cleared her UGC- NET JRF and went to work as a Research Officer at NIEPID and as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Composite Regional Centre, Gorakhpur (under NIEPMD), Chennai. She has worked on the development of assessment tools for persons with disabilities such as the Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism and Vocational Assessment Tool for adult PWDs. She has extensive clinical experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities as well as those with mental health issues. She has presented papers at national and international conferences. She has experience in conducting community awareness initiatives as she has coordinated various screening and assessment programs/camps for persons with disabilities and organized numerous training programs as coordinator and resource person. She has worked in a private psychiatric setup as a Clinical Psychologist and has carried out clinical evaluations as well as therapy for persons with mental health issues and illnesses.
