Prof.R. Yathiraj Kumar The Directorate of Evaluation (DOE), is the nodal agency for evaluation of the academic performance of around 17,000 students of 138 UG, PG and Research programs in Engineering, Management, Science, Pharmacy, Architecture, Law, Medicine and Nursing streams, offered at its three campuses.
The directorate deals with all the pre and post examination related activities, culminating in the publication of results and issuing of certificates and degrees on stationery with several security features. The activities of DOE are automated to a very large extent with the help of the software developed inhouse by CATS. Various inputs for processing the results are transmitted ‘Online’ to quicken the process and ensure accountability.
Examinations are conducted using bar coded OMR Answer Books to ensure confidentiality, to avoid tampering and to facilitate error free, timely publication of results. Spot Valuation is conducted at a central location and several measures are in place to ensure confidentiality, quality and uniformity in Valuation.
Several initiatives are in place to address the genuine grievances of the students and to facilitate them to complete their programs of study without loss of time. These include re totaling, revaluation, Special Examinations, Betterment Examinations, Repeat Continuous Evaluation etc.
Assessment is carried out through a ten point Grade System; Choice Based Credit System is introduced with effect from the academic year 2015-16. The Directorate also attends the task of conducting the annual Convocations. The University proposes to enroll itself very shortly in the National Academic Depository, initiated by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
