Born in 1932 at
Mudenepalli, near Gudivada, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, received Bachelor
Degree in Civil Engineering from Visweawaraiah Engineering College, Banglore
(1956) and Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from Rice University,
Houston, Texas, (USA) (1962). Former head of the Department of Civil Engineering
and Principal of college of Engineering, Andhra University.
Pioneered
introduction of Post Graduate Courses in Environmental Engineering in 1963 at
Andhra University. Taught Epidemiology, Parasitology, Environmental sanitation,
Sanitary Chemistry, Microbiology, Radiological health, Industrial Hygiene,
Hydrology treatment, Stream sanitation, Air pollution Control, Environmental
Impact Analysis etc. guided thesis work for Masters and Doctoral Degrees.
Published a few books and several papers on environmental problems.

the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences for participation in Nobel symposium in
August, 1976.
