I welcome you to GITAM Centre for Distance Learning that offers
learner-centered, open, flexible, affordable and quality education
through a wide range of programmes.
Distance education is now considered to be an integral part of
achieving access and inclusive growth of higher education. This calls
for quality education to reach the hitherto unreached. We therefore
need a system of education which is independent of time, place
and pace to suit the needs of aspirants.
I am immensely pleased to note that GITAM Centre for Distance
Learning is fulfilling this need by offering several useful programmes
in the disciplines of management, science and humanities. The
learners are free to choose a progrmme suitable to their requirement
and accentualize their potential for a fruitful and rewarding career.
An important additional feature of this Centre is online learning in
select programmes being introduced this year to facilitate interactive
learning among learners, thus enhancing access and flexibility.
