Q1    Do I need any academic qualifications to study at the GCDL?
A1   Yes. There are specific entry requirements for each programme. You should check our Prospectus for new learners for entry requirements for the programme you are interested in.

A2   Yes. You should have to appear for GITAM Admission Test (GAT) and obtain a rank in that.

Q8    When will I sit for the course examination?
A8   The year-end examinations will generally be held in the month of December for the candidates admitted in January Session and in July for the candidates admitted in June Session.

Q9    Is there a limit on the maximum period of time I have to finish a degree?
A9   Yes. There is maximum period of time to complete the degree for each programme. You please go through our prospectus for more details.

Q10   How will I study?
A10   Distance learning students receive self instructional learning material such as written texts, assignment questions and other supplementary materials. The GCDL also makes use of other media such as video and audio programmes, computer software, face-to-face interactions, etc.

A11   The GCDL provides Study Centres throughout India in addition to the facilities available at the headquarters (GITAM University campus).

Q12   Will I meet other learners when I study at the GCDL?
A12   Yes. GCDL provides face to face interaction which facilitates peer group interaction

Q13   Will my GCDL degree be recognized?
A13   GCDL has been granted authority by the UGC and Distance Education Council to validate its own courses on a self accreditation basis. GCDL graduates/post graduates are treated exactly the same as the graduates/post graduates of other institutions by the Government for employment purposes.
