1.1 The GAT(UGTP)-2015 (Online Admission Test) is conducted for admission to the following undergraduate programs.

1.3. The following are the criteria for admission to B.Tech. Programs:

  • Pass in Intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2015 or 2014 subject to the following criteria:

    • B.Tech. Programs : A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
    • B.Tech. in Biotechnology: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
    • B.Pharmacy: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects.
    • B.Arch:A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying Examination  with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry subjects and also shall qualify in NATA / JEE (Main).

  • Rank obtained in GAT (UGTP) - 2015.

Note:
Students who passed Intermedaite or 10+2 examination in 2013 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear for GAT-2015.

 

1.4 Details of GAT (UGTP) 2015

The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections:

All questions are objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks.

Note :
Candidates appearing for GAT (UGTP) 2015 are also eligible for admission to Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Bachelor of Environmental Management (BEM) and 5 Year Integrated (B.Sc. + M.Sc.) Biotechnology programs.

2.5 Syllabus for GAT (PGT) 2015:

Section A:
40 questions on Quantitative (Mathematical) ability involving Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra, Geometry, Inequalities, Graphs (data interpretation), Sets, Relations and Functions etc.

Section B:
30 questions on Analytical / Logical Reasoning

Section C:
30 questions in Verbal Proficiency in English involving sentence completion, analogy, reading comprehension, antonyms, etc.

 

 

Admission to M.Pharmacy Programs
GAT (PGP) 2015

3.1 The GAT(PGP)-2015 (Online Admission Test) is conducted for admission to the following M.Pharmacy programs offered at Visakhapatnam Campus.
