1.3. The following are the criteria for admission to B.Tech. Programs:

  • Pass in Intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2013 or 2012 subject to securing the following percentage of marks in specified subjects.
    • B.Tech. Programs : A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt.
    • B.Tech. in Biotechnology: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry or Biology, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt.
    • B.Pharmacy: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry or Biology, Physics & Chemistry in the qualifying examination.

  • Rank obtained in GAT (UGTP) 2013.

Note:
  • Students who passed in Intermedaite or 10+2 examination in 2011 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear for GAT-2013.
  • #Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. program should qualify in NATA exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Intermediate or 10+2 examination.

1.4 Details of GAT (UGTP) 2013

The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections:

Note :

2.5 Syllabus for Admission Test

Section A:
40 questions on Quantitative (Mathematical) ability involving Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra, Geometry, Inequalities, Graphs (data interpretation), Sets, Relations and Functions etc.

Section B:
30 questions on Analytical / Logical Reasoning

Section C: 30 questions in Verbal Proficiency in English involving sentence completion, analogy, reading comprehension, antonyms, etc.

 

 

Admission to M.Pharmacy Programs
GAT (PGP) 2013

3.1 The GAT(PGP)-2013 (Online Admission Test) is conducted for admission to the following M.Pharmacy programs offered at Visakhapatnam Campus.

3.3 Eligibility criteria:

Pass in B.Pharmacy from recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and Score obtained in GAT (PGP) 2013.
